How State Bar authorities can set legal education back on track.
A. New professional rules of conduct: Law schools choose new members of the profession and educate them. State bar authorities should adopt a professional rule of conduct that relates to the obligations of law school administrators and faculty to educate prospective members of the legal profession in a manner consistent with rest of the profession’s obligations to society.
B. Help the ABA hold law schools accountable. Consumer protection is critical to every state bar authority's mission. They should work with the ABA by providing the consumer information the ABA needs to successfully regulate law schools.
